EURO Distinguished Service Medal Award

The EURO Distinguished Service Medal Award (EDSM) was approved by the Executive Committee in July 2006. The EDSM should honour extraordinary efforts and should be awarded for recognition of distinguished service to EURO and to the profession of OR. The award is officially bestowed in conjunction with a EURO-k Conference, if there is a suitable candidate. Following a presentation of the competition by the chair of the jury, the laureate receives the EURO Distinguished Service Medal Award and a diploma. Only one award may be made on each occasion.

The 2019 EURO Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to:

Paolo Toth

The EDSM 2019 jury consisted of Roman Słowiński (chair), Pascale Zaraté, Lidija Zadnik-Stirn, Rommert Dekker, and Antonio Frangioni

The award was presented at the opening session of the EURO 2019 Conference in Dublin (Ireland).

The period for nominations for the 2021 EDSM is not yet open. It will be announced in November 2020.
