WE ARE SEEKING FOR

Kühne Logistics University (KLU) in Hamburg, Germany, one of Germany’s top research-based private business schools, invites applications for a Professorship in Transportation (tenure-track). Expertise in the public policy aspects of the subject would be welcome.

The position is a full-time appointment and is to be filled at the earliest possible date.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

The professor will excel by conducting original and impactful research in his or her chosen area, will have excellent publications in the field with the willingness to publish in excellent journals included in the KLU journal list (https://www.the-klu.org/faculty-research/klu-journal-list/), and create impact with this research in the business or wider societal community. Next to that, the professor is expected to teach in the classroom but also demonstrate a willingness to engage in online teaching. Teaching will be primarily in the domains of transportation, operations management, operations research, and/or supply chain management. Like other faculty, the professor will also take part in industry outreach and university service activities.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants need to have completed a PhD in transportation, logistics, industrial engineering, economics, or a related discipline. Experience in the acquisition, application for and implementation of third-party funded research projects is desirable.
