Dr. Jaime Andrés Castañeda is a Principal Professor at the Universidad del Rosario’s School of Management in Bogotá, Colombia. He teaches operations and supply chain management topics at both undergraduate and graduate levels. His research focuses on studying operational decision-making, seeking to understand decision-making biases and explore improvement strategies, using behavioral experiments, simulation and econometrics. He has published scientific articles in journals like European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, System Dynamics Review and Energy Economics, and chapters in handbooks on behavioral operations and humanitarian logistics. Jaime Andrés earned his Ph.D. in Economics (Management stream) at the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) in Lugano, Switzerland, and holds a M.Eng. in Engineering – Systems Engineering and a B.Eng. in Systems and Informatics Engineering, both from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Medellín, Colombia.
