Professor Federico Trigos holds a PhD in industrial engineering with dissertation in large scale optimization (Georgia Institute of Technology), a Master in Finance (EGADE Business School), a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering with major in Production Distribution and Material Handling (Georgia Institute of Technology), a Master in Engineering with major in Operations Research (ITESM Campus Monterrey) and a Bachelor of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ITESM Campus Toluca). Dr. Federico Trigos has lectured in several professional and research congresses in the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has been a visiting scholar at the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Iowa State University and the University of Bristol. He has been recognized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an International Faculty Fellow. He held the presidency of the Mexican Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering (based in Monterrey N.L.). Dr. Trigos is an active researcher publishing in areas related with the sustainable development of quantitative tools to maximize business performance. His research interests include: Industrial and business analytics, simulation, mathematical programming, engineering economics, corporate finance and financial investments. He is currently a member of the Mexican National Researchers System (SNI), and the Mexican Academy of Science. Federico Trigos has worked for Gates Rubber Company in Mexico as the director of organizational engineering, and director of organizational development, reporting to the CEO and to the board of directors chairman. He has been a runner off for the “Charles C. Gates Award” maximum award for company improvement and best practices. He has also done consultant work for companies such as: The Gates rubber Company (USA), Aventis, Interjet, Banco Azteca etc. He has worked for ITESM in the positions of: Head of research and graduate studies, chairman of the doctoral program in industrial engineering, chairman of the master program in industrial engineering, chairman of the master in manufacturing management program, chairman of the international bachelor of industrial and systems engineering.  He has been the academic advisor of student teams that ran first and third place for the International Student Simulation Competition organized by the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and Rockwell Software (RS). Federico Trigos currently works for EGADE Business School Monterrey, where he holds a full professorship. In addition, he is faculty of the following graduate programs at ITESM: Ph.D. in Management Science, OneMBA, MBA, Master in Finance.
