Grants for participation in EWGLA 2016 in Málaga II

this year’s EWGLA conference will be held in Málaga, Spain, and we hope to meet you all there (

To ensure that we really do meet everybody (well, at least almost everybody), we are pleased to announce that EWGLA is offering a number of grants for participants. These grants will cover your expenses up to a maximum of €750. Eligible expenses are costs for travel & accommodation and the conference fee.

To apply, you have to be a EWGLA member and should send the following documents as a single pdf by e-mail to the EWGLA Board (ewgla-board at

  • An extended abstract of at least two full pages,
  • Your CV, and
  • A letter of recommendation from your supervisor, if you are a PhD student.

The deadline for applications is: Friday, 11 March.

Decisions about grants will be made by Friday, 1 April.

We especially encourage young researchers and researchers from economically weak countries to apply.

We would appreciate if you could forward this announcement to your PhD students in case they are not yet members of EWGLA and, of course, encourage them to become EWGLA members!

EWGLA XXIII Call for Papers

This is the first announcement for the 23rd EURO Working Group on Locational Analysis meeting (EWGLA 2016) to be held in Málaga (Spain) on September 14-16, 2016.

This year the EWGLA 2016 will be held in conjunction with 7th International Workshop on Locational Analysis and Related Problems, which is organized by the Spanish Location Network and Location Group (GELOCA).

EURO 2016 - Location Stream

Dear Locators,

The EURO 2016 conference will be held in Poznan (3-6 july 2016).

One stream of sessions will be dedicated to Location and managed by the EWGLA coordination board. We strongly encourage you to participate in this big event and to submit a scientific contribution. It will be an opportunity to gather people involved in locational analysis and to improve visibility of our Euro Working Group and its participants.

We are seeking session organizers who are willing to organize and chair sessions on hot topics related to Location.

The fifth meeting of the EURO Working Group on Vehicle Routing and Logistics optimization will take place at the Mines Nantes Graduate School of Engineering, in Nantes 6-8 June 2016. The VeRoLog conference is an annual meeting bringing together the large community of researchers and practitioners interested in vehicle routing optimization and its relationship with logistics. The conference is open to high quality methodological contributions, relevant real-world applications, and case studies from industry and the service sector.
