Registration and Fees

Registration for participation is invited through the online registration and submission system "ConfTool". You will have to create an account with this system first. You can then register for participation and/or submit an abstract for a talk.

Your payment will also be processed through this system. If possible, please pay by bank transfer, as this will keep the banking fees to a minimum. Registration and complete payment is a prerequisite for inclusion of your talk into the conference program. Receipts will be sent out or distributed at the conference during check in after full payment has been received.

The conference fee is 150 €, including social program and conference dinner with a late fee of 200 € for registrations after March 17th, 2014. There is also an option to book conference lunches at an extra fee. For accompanying persons, conference dinner is optional and may be booked for an additional fee.

Cancellation Policy

  • The registration of participation is binding.
  • If you have to cancel your registration before February 1st, 2014, you will receive a full refund on your registration fee less transfer costs (credit card fees etc.).
  • If you have to cancel your registration from February 1st, 2014 to March 31st, 2014, you will receive a refund of 70% on your registration fee.
  • In all other cases, the financial responsibilities of the participants remain fully effective.
  • The participation fees are owed upon registration and are payable within 14 days following submission of the registration (but not later than March 17th, 2014 for early registration and not later than April 15th for late registration).
  • Participation is not guaranteed unless full payment of the registration fee is received by March 17th, 2014.
  • The conference program is subject to change.
  • Payments will be refunded if the conference will be canceled by the organizer. In that case, the organizer will have no further liability to the client. Registrations remain valid if the conference has to be postponed.

Abstract Submission

Authors are invited to submit an abstract for their talk through the online registration and submission system "ConfTool". Please consider the following:

  • Submission is possible until March 15th, 2014.
  • Submissions are subject to a review process. You will receive information about acceptance of your talk proposal by April 1st, 2014.
  • A completed registration and payment is is mandatory for acceptance of your talk and for inclusion in the conference program.
  • The conference language is English. All talks must be given in English.
  • Plenary talks are by invitation only with a time slot of 60 minutes, including discussion. Each other talk will be assigned a time slot of 20 minutes, including discussion.
  • Abstracts must be submitted through an online form using plain text only. The abstract will be used for both the printed conference program and for the online program on the website.
  • For assignment of your talk to a an appropriate stream in the conference please select one (or more) suitable topic. Possible topics are listed on Aims & Objectives
  • You will be required to acknowledge a simple copyright statement on behalf of all your co-authors during the submission process.

Important Dates

Abstracts submissions for talks at ECCO 2014 are accepted until March 17th, 2014. Notification of acceptance will be sent out until April 1st, 2014. Please note that in order for your talk to be scheduled and included in the program for ECCO 2014 full payment of the registration fee will have to be received and registered no later than March 17th, 2014.

The early registration fee of 150 € applies until March 17th, 2014, an increased late fee of 200 € will be collected for registrations from March 18th, 2014.
