offers a series of informal conversations with relevant figures in the fields of Operations Research, Combinatorial Optimization and Logistics, and they are hosted by Anand Subramanian, an Associate Professor at Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), Brazil.
About the host:
Anand was born and raised in João Pessoa, Brazil. His parents are Indian immigrants who moved to Brazil in the early 1970s to work at UFPB, after a seven-year period in Canada. He speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish, and understands some Tamil. He is passionate about rock music and plays multiple instruments, including guitar, ukulele, and a bit of piano. He also has a strong interest in sports, enjoys learning about miscellaneous topics in history, and has visited 29 countries. He holds a PhD in Computing from UFF. Anand is the author of more than 70 articles published in prestigious international journals and is a member of the Editorial Board of Computers & Operations Research, as well as a member of the Magazine Editorial Advisory Board of INFORMS.
