The 2nd conference of the EURO Working Group on the Practice of Operations Research will take place on 11th and 12th March in the beautiful city of Bologna (Italy) and is going to focus on “Operations Research meets Machine Learning: how to get the most of both worlds to achieve excellent Decision Support Systems”.
We welcome contributions on innovative examples of projects where OR & ML were integrated in PRACTICAL ways, working with public or private sector organisations (or as consultants providing services to such organisations), to foster discussion on this very actual issue.
Presentations must be:
– Business focused – we are in the Practitioner’s world,
– Share lessons learned from implementing ML combined with OR
– Highlight food for thought on the topic
– Non commercial: a simple showcase of capabilities is NOT likely to be selected
