SUMMARY:Discussion forum event: How will transportation and logistics change\, how can OR help?
DESCRIPTION:Andy Harrison\, a data science professional with experience in a wide range of sectors\, will lead this discussion session. \n  \n \n\n\n\n\nThis is the first in our series of discussion forum events\, designed for the exchange of views and ideas. Each one-hour session will be a conversation on a specific topic\, with one person giving a brief introduction and then facilitating discussion amongst all attendees\, breaking into smaller groups if necessary. \nThis discussion session will be led by Andy Harrison\, a data science professional who has worked as a practitioner in OR and data science for over three decades\, across a wide range of sectors\, including defence and security\, transportation\, energy\, financial services and higher education. \nThe session topic: How will transportation and logistics change over the next 3 decades\, how can OR help? What will change and what will drive those changes? What challenges will these changes bring? How can OR help to address these challenges? \nCome along to share your own ideas\, learn from others and collectively explore the opportunities and challenges of today’s OR in practice; and end your week on a high. \nWe will use gather.town\, which means that if you arrive early\, you can talk with whoever else is already in the room. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEURO Practitioners’ Forum past and planned activities are available to the Forum members\, as well as the wider public.
