EWG-DSS Awards<\/span><\/h2>\n

The \u201cEWG-DSS-Award\u201d was launched in 2011 as a motivating research initiative for young researchers to submit and present their work in one of the EWG-DSS annual organized workshops and conference streams.<\/h4>\n

The annual \u201cEWG-DSS-Award\u201d chooses the best and most innovative among submitted and presented work by students or young researchers, in the EWG-DSS organized workshops and conference streams of the same year, to be rewarded with a modest prize in money.<\/h4>\n

The EWG-DSS hopes to count with sponsorship from research funds and from the industrial sector to make the \u201cEWG-DSS-Award\u201d more financially appealing.\u00a0 We hope you can support this initiative by financially sponsoring it if possible, or participating and\/or disseminating this information among your students, colleagues, research partners and collaborators.<\/h4>\n

EWG-DSS 2024 Award<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We are proud to announce that Guoste Pivoraite<\/strong> has been awarded the EURO Working Group on Decision Support Systems (EWG-DSS) 2024 Award<\/strong> for her outstanding contribution to the field of decision support systems. The award was presented during the International Conference on Decision Support System Technology (ICDSST 2024)<\/strong>, held in Porto, Portugal, in June 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Guoste received the award for her paper titled:
\u201cFramework for Understanding Consumer Perceptions and Attitudes to Support Decisions on Cultured Meat: A Theoretical Approach and Future Directions.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her work offers a novel theoretical framework aimed at guiding decision-making in the emerging field of cultured meat, with a focus on consumer attitudes and perception modeling. The contribution has been recognized as a significant step forward in leveraging decision support methodologies for sustainability and innovation in food systems.<\/p>\n

We congratulate Guoste on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to her continued success in research and impact in the DSS community.<\/p>\n

EWG-DSS 2023 Award<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It is our great honor and pleasure to inform the community that Shiqi Sun and He Huang have been awarded with the EURO Working Group on Decision Support Systems EWG-DSS 2023 Young Researcher of the Year. They presented the paper “MAMCABM: A data-driven stakeholder-based decision-support system that considers uncertainties” during the EWG-DSS 2023 International Conference on Decision Support System Technology in Albi, France May 30 to June 01, 2023.<\/p>\n

EWG-DSS 2022 Award<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It is our great honor and pleasure to inform the community that\u00a0Jonas Kirchhoff have been awarded with the EURO Working Group on Decision Support Systems EWG-DSS 2022 Young Researcher of the Year. Jonas Kirchhoff presented the paper \u201cDecision Support Ecosystems: Definition and Platform Architecture?\u201d during the EWG-DSS 2022 International Conference on Decision Support System Technology in Thessaloniki, Greece, May 23 \u2013 25 2022. Jonas demonstrated outstanding performance both in compiling an accomplished research article, as well as in delivering a masterful presentation.<\/p>\n

EWG-DSS 2021 Award<\/h2>\n

It is our great honor and pleasure to inform the community that Jean Gomes Turet and Adem Kikaj have been awarded with the EURO Working Group on Decision Support Systems EWG-DSS 2021 Young Researcher of the Year. Adem Kikaj and Marko Bohanec presented the paper \u201cDEX2Web A Web-Based Software Implementing the Multiple-Criteria Decision-Making Method DEXAdem\u201d and Jean Gomes Turet and Ana Paula Cabral Seixas Costa have presented the paper \u201cDecision Support System to Brazilian Public Security Management: a hybrid methodology (unstructured and structured data)\u201d during the EWG-DSS 2021 International Conference on Decision Support System Technology in Loughborough, UK, May 26 \u2013 28, 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

The candidates for the EWG-DSS 2016 Award were selected among presentations of the 2nd EWG-DSS International Conference on Decision Support Systems Technology ICDSST 2016<\/a> in Plymouth, UK, in May 2016, and of the EWG-DSS Stream on Decision Support Systems at EURO 2016 in Poland<\/a>, in July 2016.<\/h4>\n

The 2016 EWG-DSS Young Researcher Award was awarded to Fahham Hasan Qaiser from Loughborough University, UK, for his paper presented at the ICDSST 2016 in Plymouth.<\/h4>\n

The EWG-DSS 2016 Award\u00a0 prize is of \u20ac 300.00 and was planned to be officially delivered to the winner in 2017, during the ICDSST 2017<\/a>\u00a0in Namur, Belgium. Because of unforeseen circumstance, Fahham was not able to attend the ICDSST 2017 in Namur, on behalf of the EWG-DSS Board Professor Shaofeng Liu went to Loughborough University and presented the award to Fahham.<\/h4>\n

After a ranking task considering the most innovative presented work of young researchers, in the EWG-DSS organized workshops and conference streams in the year of 2011, the EWG-DSS Coordination Board was pleased to announce that Pierre-Emmanuel Arduin<\/strong>, from LAMSADE Paris Dauphine University, was granted with the \u201cEWG-DSS 2011-Award<\/strong>\u201c, with the paper \u201cFrom Knowledge Sharing to Collaborative Decision Making\u201d,\u00a0 a joint work with Michel Grundstein and Camille Rosenthal-Sabroux, that was presented in the EWG-DSS London-2011 Workshop on Decision Systems.\u00a0 Below you can see the slides used by Pierre-Emmanuel Arduin to present the paper in the London EWG-DSS Workshop.<\/h4>\n
