CALL FOR PAPERS

on Data Analytics and Collaborative Decision Processes

Guest Editors: Pascale Zaraté (Toulouse University, France)
Fátima Dargam (Sim Tech Simulation Technology/ILTC, Austria)
  Rita Ribeiro (UNINOVA, Portugal)
  Shaofeng Liu (Plymouth University, UK)

Motivation

While Big Data analytics is a common challenge to overcome nowadays across most application areas, several trends and technologies are making it possible for decision makers to reach decisions faster by improving their collaborative decision processes. These processes involve much more information than before, and they are also increasingly decentralized and distributed. Experiences from best practices in contemporary business decisions suggest that collaborative platforms need to be equipped with strong analytical capabilities based on methodological advances from the Big Data Value Chain, in order to make the best use of available data. In this setting, the current Featured Issue of the EURO Journal of Decision Processes (EDJP) will explore how "Data Analytics and Collaborative Decision Processes" proposed new concepts and methods, and how new methodologies have recently been implemented.

Contents

The Guest Editors seek state of the art reviews and research papers that demonstrate how decision making professionals have sought to implement and use Collaborative Decision Processes and Data Analytics to adress timely challenges. Topics of particular interest include but are not limited to: Big Data Analytics; Decision Dashboards; DM & Social Networks Data Analytics; Collaborative Decision Processes; Group Preferences Co-Decisions; among others.

Established by the Association of European Operational Research Societies (EURO), EJDP publishes research that advances the understanding and appropriate use of operational research in supporting decision making processes (see http://www.springer.com/40070).
