The number and quality of talks given at the VeRoLog conference (Nantes) and special track at EURO (Poznan) show that vehicle routing and logistics are still two of the most active research areas for the operations research community. Following these two events, the EURO Journal in Transportation and Logistics organizes two special issues aiming to establish the landscape of the state of the art in the field.
The topics covered in these special issues include (but are not limited to):
- Electric vehicle routing
- Stochastic vehicle routing
- Dynamic vehicle routing
- Vehicle routing with synchronization
- Inventory routing
- Multi-objective vehicle routing problems
- Home care routing
- Periodic vehicle routing
- Real-world vehicle routing applications
- Arc routing problems
- Network design
- Bike and car sharing
Submissions are open to all, independent of participation in the conferences. All contributions will be peer reviewed according to the usual standards of the journal.
