Abstract
This study examines how higher education institutions (HEIs) use machine learning (ML) to advance UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Using a PRISMA-based bibliometric analysis of Web of Science publications, it maps key themes, collaboration patterns, and research trends through co-occurrence, bibliographic coupling, and co-authorship analyses. Five thematic clusters emerged: sustainability pedagogy and SDG integration, learning analytics, smart and green campus operations, digital inclusion, and ethics. The study offers guidance for future research and university decision-making.
