Abstract
This paper describes a novel system dynamics (SD) simulation approach to support the design and assessment of innovative viable business models for the societal good. Using this modeling framework, we analyze the dynamic relationships among investment and resource requirements, production volumes, diversified revenue opportunities, and alternative organizational or governance structures. This results in the construction of evaluation tools that enable all stakeholders to explore innovative ways for economic, social and environmental value.
