Abstract
As wireless sensor networks (WSNs) become interconnected, attackers conduct attacks as a dynamic sequence with stochastic timing to maximize their impact. Therefore, we examine continuous cascading failures in WSNs under a novel sequential attack strategy and evaluate the resulting network vulnerability. The sequential attack modeled by a homogeneous Poisson process. To mitigate the cascading failures triggered by such attack, a latency-congestion-sensitive routing scheme is designed to redistribute load. Finally, we evaluate network vulnerability with different attack strategies.
