Abstract
Economic methods alone are not sufficient to assess the sustainability of management methods. In this work, we propose and apply a methodology based on a joint use of PROMETHEE I, II and KEMIRA methods to evaluate the sustainability of seven management methods of small dams, still called water reservoirs, in the city of Ouagadougou. The “Rationalization of uses” has proved to be the best sustainable management method. These results confirmed the effectiveness of our methodology for assessing the sustainability of natural resource management methods.
