Abstract
An experimental study was conducted to assess the effect of causal loop diagrams on business performance. The findings indicate that providing decision makers with causal loop diagrams of the business generates more accurate models of the business leading to improved performance.Causal loop diagrams boost confidence in decision making. Despite the overall positive effects, not all decision makers obtained better performance. Further research is provided.
