Abstract

In this session, following three presentations with different talks on Generative AI and its actual and potential future impact on the development of Decision Support applications, we'll host a panel discussion with the attendees and our three panelists:

- Jens Schulz, Product Manager for FICO Xpress and president of GOR working group ‘Practice of Mathematical Optimization’. He holds a PhD in applied mathematics from TU Berlin (2012). Before joining FICO in 2018, he worked at BASF SE and Lufthansa Systems and as teaching assistant at TU Berlin.

- Dominik Berbig, Professor of Logistics Operations Management at Pforzheim University since 2021. Prior to his appointment, Dominik Berbig worked at Robert Bosch GmbH in different areas and functions including acting as a project manager worldwide for leveling, and senior manager for warehousing, packaging and transport in the Power Tools business unit. Most recently, he managed the area Intralogistics and Material Flow as part of the project to introduce SAP S/4HANA & SAP EWM in the Mobility Solutions business unit.

- Sofiane Oussedik, Data Science & AI tools technical leader at IBM EMEA and Chair of the Euro practitioners Forum. He has a PhD in Computers Science/Operations Research (2000). As a lead Data Scientist, he works to support industry clients and business partners harness the value of AI and optimize usage of their resources in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, energy and utilities, finance and logistics.
