Abstract
System Dynamics is a powerful methodology for analysing and managing complex systems by capturing feedback loops and simulating system behaviour over time. This talk will introduce its core principles and demonstrate how it can be used to model interconnected systems in a wide range of contexts. We will explore its applications in consulting, showcasing how System Dynamics helps address strategic and operational challenges across industries. Additionally, we will discuss best practices for developing robust models, including key techniques for validation, documentation, and effective communication. The discussion around documentation will also reflect on the clarity, transparency, and impact required to enable publication. The speakers have a long track record of delivering successful System Dynamics-based projects, bringing real-world expertise to the discussion.
