Abstract
We propose a solution to the integrated healthcare timetabling problem, linked to the Integrated Healthcare Timetabling Competition (IHTC-2024). The problem integrates three healthcare timetabling problems: surgical case planning, patient admission scheduling, and nurse-to-room assignment. We propose a multi-neighbourhood iterated local search algorithm with optimizing perturbation. For the local search phase, we consider seven neighbourhoods, each focusing on one of the three problems (surgical case planning, patient admission, or nurse-to-room assignment). The perturbations are carried out by optimizing a part of the problem with an IP-based operator. We consider four such operators, one of which integrates all three problems simultaneously.
