Abstract
We present some mathematical models that describe and solve path-planning problems for UAVs. The models consider convex and nonconvex regions for dealing with obstacle avoidance, stay-in areas, and handling the risk of collisions. Therefore, mixed integer nonlinear programs, mixed integer linear programs, or the combination of linear programming models with other methods can help to solve the path planning problem.
