Abstract

The research provides a theoretical and methodological framework for studying the intersection of digital and national identities and their impact on social harmony in the context of digital transformation. It examines philosophical and political science concepts of identity based on the approaches of Z. Bauman, J. Baudrillard, N. Luhmann, M. McLuhan, and M. Castells, which emphasize the dynamism and multiplicity of modern forms of identity shaped by digital technologies. National identity is explored through B. Anderson's concept of "imagined communities" and its transformations under the processes of digitalization and globalization. Social harmony is analyzed from a political science perspective through the lens of social capital, trust, and collective efficacy (Putnam, 2000). The article also proposes specific approaches to operationalizing the studied categories, facilitating the transition from abstract theoretical concepts to measurable empirical indicators necessary for subsequent application of structural equation modeling (SEM), multi-agent modeling, network analysis, reflexive game theory, and probabilistic models (Sakalauskas, 2022). As such, the study substantiates the significance of the proposed interdisciplinary model for examining the interconnections and mechanisms of influence between digital and national identities on social harmony in the context of digitalization and globalization.
