Abstract
Knock-out pools have gained significant popularity this century. Each week, a different team must be chosen, and they must win their next game, otherwise, that participant is knocked out of the pool. (The participant who outlasts everyone else wins the pool.) Previously, a strategy based solely on a team’s probability of winning their games, given each team’s current W/L record, was devised and evaluated. A new formula has been created that incorporates the actual game scores and combines them - with the aforementioned estimate of winning - to inform the overall impression regarding predicting each expected victory.
