Abstract
Scenarios are stories about alternative possible futures which capture key uncertainties. Literature reports plausibility as one of the key criteria in considering what makes a good scenario. This paper explores the development of scenario narratives from the perspective of the developer and the consumer/user to consider the relevance of plausibility. The paper also explores what can be learnt about the development of scenario narratives from other fields such as music, storytelling, visusalisation design and neuroscience.
