Abstract

Abstract: Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) is a hot candidate technoloty for 6G. RIS aided multiple input multiple output interference channel is considered. The precoding beamforming matrices and RIS parameters are jointly designed for sum rate maximization. The approximation explores the upper bound of the sum rate, and the optimization problem is reformulated as a minimax saddle point problem through the approximated Lagrangian function. The single-loop primal dual method is designed for the saddle point problem, where the primal variable is updated through one projected gradient step and the dual variable is solved through quadratic interpolation. It turns out that the proposed method performs well numerically, which achieves promising sum rate with very little computational cost.
