Abstract
We consider a firm that provides offline services through many branches to a population spread over a large geographic area. The firm is interested in opening additional satellite facilities in addition to its branches to improve its reach and attract new customers. Such facilities are also intended to relieve existing branches of low-value services so that they can focus on activities more valuable to the firm. Based on data available from a large bank in India, we create a model for deciding which locations are suitable for adding more satellite facilities. The model considers the footfall data of the existing branches, their geographical information and transactional data.
