Abstract

Student outcomes in an undergraduate management science course are hypothesized to depend on prior preparation and student engagement. A predictive model is presented that combines these factors using data gathered from large, online course sections of business students. The results help to inform instructors of actions to take to create equity of opportunity in the STEM classroom.
