Abstract
The aging population and declining birth rates have become social issues in many Asian countries, especially Taiwan. To alleviate the significant shortage of manpower, hiring second-career certified nursing assistants has emerged as a new trend in care institutions. This study combines interviews and the Analytic Hierarchy Process to explore the job satisfaction and key factors influencing turnover decisions of second-career care workers. The findings of this study will contribute to understanding the factors affecting job satisfaction among second-career care workers and serve as a reference for training programs in long-term care institutions.
