Abstract
Living donors are often incompatible with their intended recipients. Kidney exchange matches one patient and his or her incompatible donor with another pair in the same situation for an exchange. We studied novel immunological such as applet matching to optimize the Saudi National Kidney Exchange Program (SNKEP) involving a number of Saudi transplant centers and their pool of patients. Cross-hospital kidney exchanges allow an increase in the likelihood of finding the matching pairs, improve the qualities of the matches, and provide. We modeled the impact of new immunological matching strategies on overall graft survival.
