Abstract
OptaPlanner is an open source constraint solver used around to globe to generate schedules that impacts millions of people's lives for the better, every day. It's well known in the programming world, but far less in the academic world.
In this session, I'll explain and demonstrate how to implement constraints in OptaPlanner and show how it scales on various use cases, such as the Vehicle Routing Problem, Shift Rostering and School Timetabling.
