Special Issue: Recent Advances and Emerging Challenges in Combinatorial Optimization
This special issue will present recent advances and challenges in all areas of Combinatorial Optimization. The issue will be based on contributions presented at the ECCO XXXIX - CO 2026 Conference, May 14-16, 2026, but invitations to submit are extended to all ECCO and CO members.
Deadline for submission: December 1, 2026
Main areas/topics of interest include:

• Mathematical programming
• Routing and scheduling
• Facility location
• Bioinformatics
• Exact methods
• Approximation algorithms
• Heuristics
• Metaheuristics
• Matheuristics
All articles will be thoroughly refereed according to the high standard of the Journal of Combinatorial Optimization.
