The Instituto de Ciencias de la Ingeniería at the Universidad de O'Higgins
(UOH) invites applications for
Postdoc (m/f/x) / Investigador/a Postdoctoral
Ingeniería Industrial y/o Matemáticas y Aplicaciones
starting August 2026 (Application deadline: June 14, 2026, 23:59 hrs Chile
Time). The position is initially for one year, renewable for a second year
upon satisfactory performance evaluation.
Areas of interest:
-Combinatorial optimization
-Graph theory

Tasks:
Independent research within the lines of Industrial Engineering or
Mathematics and Applications
Publication of results in leading journals and at top conferences
Undergraduate teaching (one course per year as lead instructor; up to two
courses per year maximum)
Submission to the ANID Fondecyt Postdoctorado competition within the first
year, with UOH as sponsoring institution
Requirements:
-Doctoral degree obtained between August 1, 2021 and the application
deadline (extensions apply for maternity/paternity, legal guardianship, or
disability — see bases for details)
-Demonstrated research potential, evidenced primarily by scientific
publications and/or participation in research projects
-Demonstrated potential for collaboration with one or more faculty members
of the Instituto de Ciencias de la Ingeniería
-Adequate command of Spanish for undergraduate teaching
