Special issue information:
This Special Issue, hosted by Omega (https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/omega), is associated with the 10th Workshop of the European Working Group on Vehicle Routing and Logistics Optimization (VeRoLog) that will be held in Bath from the 6th to the 9th of July 2026.
The EWG VeRoLog is a working group within EURO (the Association of European Operational Research Societies) whose objective is to promote the application of operations research models, methods and tools to the field of vehicle routing and logistics, and to encourage the exchange of information among practitioners, end-users, and researchers, stimulating the work on new and important problems with sound scientific methods.
Omega reports on advances in Operations Analytics, including the latest research results and applications in Management Sciences and seeks submissions related to the use of data and problem driven models and techniques to address practical optimization and business analytics challenges. Of particular interest are papers that present effective and contemporary modeling and solution approaches for novel application areas, as well as those papers that contain breakthroughs in solving established problems in application domains of considerable interest. The submissions are expected to be of high quality and relevance, written in a manner that makes it accessible to a wide-ranging readership of academics, practitioners, and managers.
Submissions to the Special Issue are reserved for participants (not necessarily speakers) of the 10th Workshop of the VeRoLog EWG. Each participant can submit one paper to the Special Issue as a corresponding author. We are particularly interested in receiving strong, innovative, and insightful works that focus on the latest research on vehicle routing and logistics. Papers submitted to the Special Issue should pay particular attention to the methodological contribution and ensure that the overall manuscript makes a significant advancement to the existing body of knowledge.
Please note that all papers submitted for the Special Issue will undergo the standard peer review procedures established by Omega. Please also note that papers that require a major revision in the second round of revision will be removed from the Special Issue and might continue their reviewing process as regular papers submitted to Omega. This is to maintain control over the overall revision process and ensure the publication of the Special Issue within the proposed schedule.
