Currently, we are recruiting a Research Assistant to support the Demand and Capacity of Ports Post 2040 (DECAP 2040+) Project and develop foundational data and robust models essential for strategic port capacity planning.
The Role: This role is an excellent opportunity for you as an early career academic, to provide valuable support to this high-impact project that directly influences strategic decisions around the shape and future of port infrastructure.
As Research Assistant, you will have the chance to use your skills in quantitative analysis—including benchmarking, and scenario modelling to assist in developing econometric models for demand forecasting. Your previous experience with econometric modelling and data interpretation will allow you to conduct quantitative analysis of port throughput, vessel turnaround times, and other KPIs, as well as market drivers including GDP growth, infrastructure development, & climate policy.
