Abstract
Over the last decade, I have had the opportunity to work on several operations research (OR) projects across Africa. In this talk, I will present an overview of some of these projects, many of which have been successful and even received awards or were finalists in international competitions. I will highlight the key factors behind their success, as well as common pitfalls to avoid. A particular focus will be placed on the implementability of OR tools, addressing the unique challenges we face in the African context.
