We’re pleased to announce that we are organising a workshop in memory of John Boylan at Lancaster University on Thursday, 13 June 2024 to Friday, 14 June 2024. Please find all the details below, it would be great if you can attend!
Recent Advances in Supply Chain Forecasting: A workshop in memory of Professor John E. Boylan: This workshop is dedicated to the memory of our dearest friend, colleague and mentor, John Boylan, and explores the development and future of the field of supply chain forecasting through John's work. The workshop comprises a series of talks from academics and practitioners who worked with John over the years, but also others who have been and are heavily influenced by John’s work and ideas. John always emphasised the importance of working and supporting Early Career Researchers (ECRs). We want to reflect on this important aspect of John’s work in the workshop, and we invite PhD students and other ECRs to present their ongoing research and receive feedback. As well as reflecting on the development of our research field through the course of John's work, we will also consider the future direction of travel. We intend that our time is informative and inspiring; and we will all have the opportunity to jointly remember John. The workshop will be held in Lancaster on Thursday 13 June 2024, 9:00am, to Friday 14 June 2024, 1:00pm.
